Project: Complete website redesign

Scope: Rebrand existing 40+ page website and elevating the User Experience driving conversions

Skills Demonstrated: UX Design, UI Design, Photo Manipulation, Illustration, Iconography

Details: DPV Transportation is a leader of executive transportation. They practically invented the term “white-glove service”. Unfortunately, their previous website was horrifically slow, complicated, and filled with bland, non-specific content. It just was not telling the story of who they truly were and it was definitely not providing their users with the same white-glove experience that their vehicles were. They came to us at Advantages to solve for these issues. We needed to give their customers the same white-glove experience they were getting in the real world—but digitally.

Additional Credits: Website created alongside the other brilliant people at Advantages including a messaging strategist, copywriter, project managers, and more.

Awards: A gold Hermes award for Website Creativity and a platinum Muse award in the Transportation websites category.

The design.

DPV was intent on incorporating technology into their customer experience. Customers could track the vehicle, know who the driver was, rate their experience, and more all from the DPV app. While we were not tasked with the app development, we did aim to showcase this technology integration into their website experience through creative visuals and storytelling.

UX: Users were finding it difficult to understand the DPV services, car details, and request quotes. We solved for these issues by giving the DPV services priority on the home page as well as multiple touch-points throughout the website for related services. We also created a more intuitive vehicle description page that included stats, features, photos, and video. A customized form was built for users to request quotes that made the process simpler, faster, and more clear for both the user and DPV.

UI: While working closely with the copywriter and company stakeholders, I developed this theme which incorporated a unique “light-streak” and GPS icon design. The inspiration behind the light-streak was long-exposure photographs of vehicles moving through cityscapes, telling the story that DPV vehicles move swiftly towards their destination. This visual theme was incorporated throughout the site with fully custom designed images, icons, typography, and color palette.
