Details: During the pandemic of 2020, Amazing Edibles (a chicago-based catering company), began to pivot when they noticed a new opportunity in the abruptly changing market. Boxperience was born from Amazing Edibles’ love of food and the power it has to foster meaningful connections, even when meeting-face-to-face is not possible. Boxperience allowed people to send boxes of “experiences” to those they wanted to connect with—personal or professional. Simple meals, sweets, high-end drinks, customized swag, and personalized video and sound cards made these boxes truly unique.
Design: A fresh new brand requires a strong identity, and after going through the Purpose Discovery process with the Advantages team, Boxperience had a strong foundation to build visuals from. I was able to lead the logo design process, providing visual direction while one of our other fabulous designers created the logo. After we built a quick, one-page website to get them up and running, we knew Boxperience needed stronger visual assets. So we staged a lifestyle photoshoot with several of the themed boxes, curating images that conveyed a warm, natural feel. We wanted to show the experience that people would have when enjoying their experiences, not just the products they contained. So I cooked pancakes, made Moscow Mules, sliced salami, and staged several various scenes using the delicious Boxperience products. I also created several sales sheets detailing the box options and their contents.
